What the fuck is going on with women’s shoes today?! There has been a ridiculous and massive epiphany in women’s shoes! Forget Kumpfs, ignore Hannahs, and why worry about two-for-one slapper heel deals at the ever so New Zealand Fashionable Week Number One Shoe Warehouse! I have a new faith in society, I know that god is a black drag queen called Bertha! And Paris is heaven for heels! A place of dreams and love. The 3 apostles of modern heels are as follows… McQueen, McQueen and McQueen!

It’s only in Paris (a city full of cobble stone alleyways and ancient steps not to mention the lack of lifts) that the freaks come out twice a year and astonish me and the rest of the planet with the most magnificent, beautiful and fabulous shoes since the 16th century! I love that when everything in fashion is so normal, boring and dumb, it’s the shoes and handbags that have become the avant-garde in fashion!

I can’t believe how amazing the shoes in China were in the 17th century, those tiny toes! Then in Japan and those beautiful slippers, then comes the Victorians and all those hobnails! Shoes, shoes and more frikkin shoes! I love them! Bambi lives for shoes! I buy shoes not just for myself but for friends and even enemies! Everyone needs a boost in life!
