Trash Disko

Young, funny, good-looking and full of confidence. Sounds like a recipe for success right? Well it is, and luckily for DJ’s Trash Disko this is exactly what they are. They have started to make waves in Sydney’s music scene so we thought it was time Master Mouse Patrol had a wee chat to see what all the hype is about. Here’s what unraveled at a Bondi Cafe in the last week of 2009…

SBW. Give us a one sentence self description…
TD. We are NZ DJ’s living in Sydney. We are more radical than you!

SBW. What’s the favourite show you’ve played to date?
TD. Rhythm & Vines 2008 – wicked crowd and the sweetest venue! Amazing all round! But Rhythm & Vines 2009/10 is going to be huge so expect B.I.G. things.

SBW. Who would you most like to play with from this list:

TD. Miley Cyrus definitely haha, we have actually approached her to be our back up dancer. Waiting for a reply…

SBW. Who has the best music crowds, NZ or Aus?
TD. NZ for sure – they heart bass.

SBW. If you were headlining, name your three dream acts/dj’s/artists/bands you would have supporting you…
TD. Fake Blood, Justice and the rest of the Ed Bangers crew.

SBW. Plans for 2010?
TD. Hit Australia in full force.  We have just signed a new Manager, so you will be seeing us all over Sydney next year, and definitely have plans for interstate travel, and of course a NZ Tour of some sort. We are still doing our monthly Radio show on Bondi FM so we will have plenty more guests and all the usual hooha. Australian Festivals are our main goal and also you will also start hearing Trash-Disko remixes and our own tracks so expect massive things!
