There is in almost every movie a face who you know, but whose name you don’t. It didn’t escape you, it simply never sat above the title of the film.
“Ohhh, Them” will on a continual basis point out some of our favourite faces and connect the dots to their name. This is the six degrees of nobodies. If you have any suggestions please don’t hesitate to contact me feedback@mastermousepatrol.com
Nameless Face # 2:
He’s the guy on the left, you know him…
Come on he was the sheriff in the Blob! You’ve never seen it???
What about when he was along side Hoskins as God’s Favourite General Noriega? Didn’t see that either? Probably just as well…

However you have seen him as the D.A. in The Shawshank Redemption…
And most probably as guard Harry in The Green Mile!
Or more recently he was the cosmetic surgeon in Burn After Reading?
He was Dr. John Ringold in Phenomenon with John Travolta, and you may have seen him in Turbulence with Ray “I’ve done at least one good movie” Liota, or Hollywoodland with Ben Assleck and Adrian Broody. He made his name, I mean face, on the TV Show Sanctuary of Fear…
… and since has done, Law and Order, West Wing, The Practice amongst many, at times as unfortunate as Cashmere Mafia, mainly as some sort of Doctor or educated man in fact the next time you see him he’ll be Dr. Harding in Shelter with Julianne Moore, or as Dan Miller in Stephen King’s The Mist…

but if your memory is as foggy as mine you probably won’t remember his name is JEFFERY DeMUNN.

You could keep this section going for a while with actors from Shawshank and Green Mile alone! There are heaps of Ohhh, Thems such as Barry Pepper or the guy who plays the warden in Shawshank, or the massive black fella in Green Mile, William Sadler (who’s in both… and Die Hard 2 – epic!). Love it. Good work Candyman.
Don’t forget Sam Rockwell, recently in Moon, in the Green Mile or David Morse career character actor form Dancer in the Dark amongst many, I did actually have Willy Sadler on my list but there is only so much Green Mile/Shawshank that one man can handle.
Left out Sammy Rockwell as I think he has probably mapped himself in the world of recognised stars after ‘Choke’ and ‘Moon’. David Morse is a good one. What about this guy, he’s in EVERYTHING! http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0032962/
