Nameless face #18
It aint a pretty face, but it’s one I’m pretty sure is seared somewhere in your memory banks, probably because he was Ferris Bueller’s evil, fun destroying Principal Ed Rooney…

Before Bueller he was more made for TV, but don’t judge that he was on “Kojack” and “Remington Steele”. He was also in the epic wig fest “Amadeus” as the Emperor Joseph II, in the days before Bueller.

He looks best in a white wig… but this isn’t the last time we’ll find him wigging out. He then shows up in “The Hanoi Hilton” and the hop toppingly hilarious “Who’s harry Crumb” with John Candy at his sell out best!
But in 1988, he meets a guy named Tim Burton and plays Winona Ryder’s dad in “Beetle Juice”, so instantaneously his street cred goes up 3-fold by fitting into Burton’s creepy clan… he goes on from there to show up in two more Burton films, “Ed Wood” and “Sleepy Hollow”.

Good wig, better wig!
So getting on board with Burton was a springboard into such classics like “The Crucible” where he teams up with Winona again, this sort of dirty American history seems to be his solid ground with the already mentioned “Sleepy Hollow” and the brilliant canabilism feast “Ravenous”.
He also shows up in the legendary Reimius debacle “The Hunt for Red October” with Connery and gang of poorly conceived Russians. Then he was Eddie Barzoon in “The Devil’s Advocate” with an out matched Keanu and a weirdly sexy Pacino. But can we stop for a minute and enjoy that characters name… Eddie Barzoon… just say it, it will put you in a good mood!

Then there are some not so proud moments for our man…”Dr Doolittle 2″, “Heartbreakers”, “Company Men”, “Stuart Little” and “How High” with Method Man and Redman who like John Candy before them… sold out.
So who is our man? The mean, yet funny, seemingly odd ginger?

It is JEFFREY JONES and don’t you forget it.
