Growing up I was lucky enough to have parents and siblings who encouraged me at all times. Well most of the time. When I was throwing a tantrum because I didn’t get pancakes for dinner the love wasn’t exactly free flowing. I was taught that nothing was unachievable if I was willing to work hard and that no idea was too silly. Which is probably why when I started calling myself Samuel Master Mouse Patrol when I was five no one seemed to mind. They probably expected it.
I have always believed a forum that encouraged people of any age to think about, explore and share ideas that are exciting and challenging is necessary. A magazine that showcased and discussed these ideas, opinions, achievements and ambitions would be a great thing. Soon we will have both this forum and magazine, in the form of MASTER MOUSE PATROL.
There is a remarkable creative culture and community in Australasia that over the years has been at the forefront of ideas and new thinking in every aspect of the arts and business. Master Mouse Patrol aims to bring this CREATIVE COMMUNITY together and share the brilliant, inspiring and confronting work, ideas and advice of these people to the World. Master Mouse Patrol will present contributions from well-respected academics, artists, sportsmen, businessmen, musicians and designers, as well as providing art students and readers an avenue for their ideas to be shared. It will be presented to the public as a free magazine, both in print and online, as we believe strong ideas and opinions should be accessible for anyone and everyone. Our main sponsors and supporters will be praised for making this possible.
We will encourage our readers to participate, challenge them with strong pieces of opinion, make them laugh by being silly and entertain them with an aesthetically stimulating magazine that will be cherished like a book. I am lucky to have two brilliant men working on this with me, Benny Castles and Richie Wildman, both of whom are exceptional in countless ways. We look forward to your help in making Master Mouse Patrol come to life.
